In recognition of its commitment to innovation and leadership, Tsesnabank has won the award for Best Commercial Bank of the Year Kazakhstan 2017.
Each year the International Banker recognises the leading banking institutions and individuals that have set the bar for industry excellence in retail, commercial, investment and private banking. The 2017 Banking Awards acknowledge those within the banking and financial industries that drive global economic commerce, create capital and opportunities for economic growth within their regions, set benchmarks for technological advancement and customer service, while maintaining high levels of regulatory compliance and corporate governance.
Tsesnabank, a universal bank headquartered in Astana, is today the third largest bank in Kazakhstan in terms of assets, and second in terms of loan portfolio. Founded in 1992, the Bank has grown steadily and now serves corporates, SMEs, and individuals nationwide through its well-developed branch network.
In 2016, Asian Development Bank and Tsesnabank made a deal to provide guarantees to support trade-finance operations and was recently recognised by ADB’s Trade Finance Program award for Leading Partner Bank in Kazakhstan. In September 2017, the bank was also recognised by Asiamoney as Best Local Bank in Central and Eastern Asia as part of the Belt & Road initiative.
In 2015, Tsesnabank was the first bank in Kazakhstan to launch a three-year transformation of its culture using the John Tschohl First-class Service Program through the Service Quality Institute USA. The Program holds that a client-focused approach to service is one of the key drivers for success in the banking sector.
