On 5 September 2017, in Singapore, Tsesnabank won the ADB Trade Finance Program award for Leading Partner Bank in Kazakhstan.
The TFP Awards recognized 18 leading partner banks from 17 countries. “Without our partner banks, ADB’s Trade Finance Program would not close over $3 billion a year in trade finance market gaps”, said Steven Beck, Head of Trade Finance at ADB. “This award is a great opportunity to recognize and thank Tsesnabank for the work it does to provide finance to companies, which helps create growth and jobs. I am very happy for them and I wish them all the best for the future”.
Since 2016’s agreement between ADB and Tsesnabank to provide guarantees for Tsesnabank’s trade finance operations, Tsesnabank has signed the largest number of deals for ADB’s Trade Finance Program.
Dauren Zhaksybek, Tsesnabank’s Chairman of the Board of Directors, commented, “We value our partnership with ADB and are happy to have our success in trade financing honoured. Given the Asian Development Bank’s position as a global institution, this is a worthy seal of approval for our work. We see significant potential for growth in trade financing and we look forward to continuing our work with ADB”.
One of Kazakhstan’s top-3 largest banks, Tsesnabank’s business model is diversified across various segments and mostly focused on SMEs and corporates. The Bank uses trade finance tools to help clients increase transaction volumes on imports and exports with minimal risk.
